Universal
Cleric
The dedicated healer that stabilizes parties with recovery, protection, cleansing, and resurrection utility.
Version: AION 2 Chapter 1
Overview
Cleric is the clearest party-sustain class in AION 2. Its job is not simply to refill health bars; it must anticipate damage, keep defensive coverage available, remove dangerous effects, and decide when a recovery tool is worth spending. A strong Cleric makes difficult content more forgiving because the group can survive mistakes that would otherwise end the encounter. It is ideal for players who enjoy being the party’s safety net, but it also demands attention: healing priorities, movement, and resource timing remain important even when the class is not the main damage dealer.
Class profile
Strengths
- Strongest direct party recovery profile
- Protective magic and cleansing utility
- Highly valuable in dungeons, raids, and long encounters
Tradeoffs
- Damage contribution is usually secondary to healing decisions
- Must manage positioning and threat while watching the whole party
- Can be overwhelmed when multiple players ignore mechanics
Recommended for
- Players who enjoy supporting a group directly
- Players who are comfortable prioritizing multiple targets
- Players who want reliable party demand in group content
How to play
- Pre-position before predictable area damage rather than reacting late.
- Prioritize effects that prevent the next hit from becoming lethal.
- Keep an emergency recovery tool available for mechanics that cannot be avoided.
How to play against
- Create split pressure so the Cleric cannot cover everyone at once.
- Use interrupts and crowd control during its recovery windows.
- Force movement before committing your strongest burst.
