Balaur

Balaur

The non-playable draconic power that turns Elyos-versus-Asmodian conflict into a three-sided PvPvE battlefield.

Version: AION 2 Chapter 1
Balaur in Aion 2

Overview

The Balaur are the third force in AION 2’s faction conflict. Unlike Elyos and Asmodians, they are not a player-selectable faction; their purpose is to create pressure, unpredictability, and a changing balance of power across contested content. Their draconic armies can challenge either playable side, and the threat they represent prevents the Abyss from becoming a simple two-team battle with a fixed outcome. The Balaur’s story reaches back to the Drakan and the Dragon Lords, including Fregion, and connects the faction war to the wider history of the Tower, Atreia, and the Cataclysm.
