Elyos
Elyos
The light-aligned inhabitants of southern Atreia, shaped by Elysea’s radiance, Sanctum’s order, and a long conflict with Asmodae.
Overview
The Elyos are the people of Elysea, the sunlit southern half of Atreia. After the collapse of the Tower of Eternity, their homeland retained more of the world’s warmth and light than the northern territories, allowing Elyos society to preserve a bright, ordered identity. Sanctum functions as their political and cultural center, while the faction’s history is defined by the belief that the Asmodians bear responsibility for the Cataclysm. In AION 2, choosing Elyos determines your faction story, home territory, visual language, and access to faction-specific zones, but it does not lock you out of any class role.

What faction choice changes
- Changes starting region, story context, capital, and character presentation.
- Does not determine your class, role, or access to the general progression systems.
- Characters remain tied to their selected faction, so experiencing both sides requires separate characters.
How to play
- Use the Elysea story path to learn the faction’s version of the Cataclysm.
- Treat Eltan Desert as a major Chapter 1 destination rather than only a leveling zone.
